Overview
In this role you will deliver flexible, psychologically informed care to people with complex and diverse needs within primary care. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide individual and group therapies, while supporting GP practices and third sector partners. A focus on health inequalities and equitable access to psychological support will shape your day-to-day work, including supervision and training for primary care staff. This is an early implementer role supporting evolving, integrated services under the NHS transformation program. You will collaborate across sectors to pilot and evaluate new pathways and networks.

Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic input (individual and group) for people with complex needs
- Develop a flexible, tailored therapeutic offer in collaboration with senior psychologists
- Deliver psychological consultation and supervision to primary care staff
- Work to address health inequalities and improve equitable access to interventions
- Support primary care mental health workers through supervision, consultation, and training
- Collaborate with NHS trusts and third sector partners to develop pathways and networks
- Participate in piloting and evaluating evolving integrated service models
- Contribute to embedding a psychologically informed model of care across services
Key requirements
- Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration
- Or Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive/Behavioural Psychotherapy with BABCP accreditation
- Or Masters or higher in psychotherapy with accreditation by UKCP or BPC
- Experience delivering therapy to people with complex needs in varied contexts
- Knowledge of specialised psychological therapies relevant to the client group
