Overview

In this consultant role, you will lead and advance paediatric respiratory care at Leeds Children’s Hospital within the Leeds General Infirmary. You will work with the regional respiratory service to provide expert care across cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia, with opportunities in bronchoscopy, sleep medicine and long-term ventilation. You will contribute to teaching and research while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. The role offers scope to influence service development and delivery for a large paediatric population and regional referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Paediatric Respiratory Medicine care including bronchoscopy, sleep medicine and long-term ventilation
  • Deliver specialist clinical service within a tertiary paediatric setting and manage complex cases
  • Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching; contribute to research initiatives
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and regional services to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in service development and improvement projects
  • Possible part-time or job-share arrangements"

Key requirements

  • MRCPCH (or equivalent)
  • Included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at interview
  • Established skills in all aspects of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and related specialties
