Overview
In this role you will lead and develop a high-quality diagnostic genomics service within the Genomics Central Laboratory, collaborating across the NEY region. You will provide scientific leadership for a clinical area and advise consultants, helping shape national best-practice. The post supports cutting-edge sequencing technologies and translation of research into patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to personalised cancer diagnostics and inherited disease testing at LTHT.

Responsibilities
- Delivery and scientific development of a diagnostic laboratory genetics service
- Scientific leadership in service provision for a specified clinical area
- Providing advice to consultants and service users
- Contributing to shape national best-practice
Key requirements
- HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist with genomics experience or equivalent
- Final year or late second year Clinical Scientist trainee with genomic experience
- MSC or PhD in Genetics with relevant lab/analytical experience
- HCPC-registered biomedical scientist with genomics experience in a clinical setting
