Overview
In this role you will lead and coordinate health, safety, fire and security activities across the Trust’s property portfolio to ensure safe, compliant and efficient service delivery. You will work with Trust Services, teams and external contractors to implement robust policies, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. You will report to the AD Director of Property Operations and provide regular governance on compliance and risk, shaping safety strategy and trust-wide projects. This is a hands-on leadership position with a clear impact on patient care and operational continuity.

Responsibilities
- Support the safety team in delivering the Trust's safety strategy
- Assess and interpret health, safety, fire and security data to improve clinical/operational delivery
- Develop and monitor an integrated safety approach across departments
- Identify risks and coordinate mitigation with stakeholders to minimise disruption
- Support Trust-wide Quality Improvement projects related to health and safety
- Identify new health and safety, fire and security initiatives to reduce costs and improve performance
- Oversee health and safety, fire and security across the portfolio of buildings to meet statutory and quality requirements
- Assist with handover and commissioning of new properties, including mobilization and demobilisation
Key requirements
- Nebosh Diploma (or equivalent)
- Graduate IOSH membership
- Graduate Fire Engineers membership (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operational health, safety and fire management
- Chartered membership of IOSH
- Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders in a healthcare environment
