Overview

In this role you will provide strategic and clinical leadership across Adult Neighbourhood Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental Services, developing neuroaffirmative, psychologically informed approaches for autistic people, ADHD, and neurodivergent individuals with complex needs. You will offer specialist psychological consultation and formulation to multidisciplinary teams, drive service improvement, and help shape transformation across services. You will champion staff wellbeing, learning, and development within a collaborative Trust-wide context, delivering compassionate, person-centred care and opportunities for leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership across Adult Neighbourhood MH and Neurodevelopmental Services
  • Offer specialist psychological consultation, formulation, and expertise to multidisciplinary teams
  • Drive service improvements and develop innovative, accessible care pathways
  • Shape development and transformation of services and represent psychology in Trust-wide forums
  • Champion staff wellbeing, learning and development; build skilled, compassionate teams
  • Lead and/or contribute to training, supervision, and expert clinical interventions
  • Plan and review strategy for delivery of psychological services and raise psychological mindedness

Key requirements

  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
  • HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist
  • Completion of a clinical supervision course to supervise trainees
  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Extensive post-qualification clinical experience in relevant setting
  • Experience leading clinical practice, service development or project work; contributing to strategic initiatives
  • Experience implementing change following audits and service evaluations
  • Experience developing complex formulations drawing on multiple psychological models
  • Experience advising senior managers on complex psychological issues and risk
