Overview

You will join the Mindworks East Community Hub to deliver high-quality psychological care for children and young people with complex mental health needs. Working across two sites, you will provide assessments, formulation, and tailored interventions while promoting patient dignity, choice and cultural needs. This role supports service-wide psychology practice and risk management within a generous, community-focused NHS Trust. You will collaborate with colleagues to improve access to psychological care and outcomes for diverse populations.

Pay / Benefits

  • Permanent contract
  • Full-time (37.5 hours)
  • Salary 51,657 to 58,785 with 5% HCAS included

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulation
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate psychology interventions for young people with complex mental health needs
  • Involve service users in developing their care plans and advocate for their dignity, choice and cultural needs
  • Adapt communication to meet diverse user needs
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk management plans
  • Contribute to divisional and team development in psychology practice

Key requirements

  • HCPC Registration
  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent
  • Experience with people across the lifespan with a range of mental health issues and cognitive profiles
  • Experience across systemic, behavioral and individual therapeutic models
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative approach and team working
  • Cultural sensitivity and respectful practice
  • Psychological assessment and formulation
  • Risk assessment and risk management planning
  • Experience with multiple psychological models (systemic, behavioral, individual)
