We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Pharmacist - HIV & Sexual Health to provide strategic and operational leadership for our specialised pharmacy services across East Kent, East Sussex and Medway. In this pivotal role, you will lead and develop pharmacy teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical care within HIV and Sexual Health services. You will be responsible for service performance, workforce management, financial oversight and information governance, while supporting evidence-based prescribing and service excellence.
As the Trust's expert pharmacy lead for HIV and Sexual Health, you will provide professional, legal and ethical guidance, drive service improvement initiatives, and play a key role in implementing new commissioned programmes and strategic action plans.
Main duties of the job:
- Professional responsibility to the Chief Pharmacist but will be a key part of the HIV and ISH clinical and leadership teams.
- Management of team.
- Work as a NMP within an agreed scope of practice.
- Locality Clinical specialist with management of a cohort of PLWH: prescription screening participation in MDTs care planning and provision of medicines information.
- Develop policies, procedures and patient group directions which have pharmaceutical content.
- Clinical education, research, audit and training.
- You will be responsible for sharing information at Trust, health economy, regional and national levels. You will ensure systems and processes are developed to ensure high standards of governance and are delivered and evidenced, meeting regulators' standards.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications:
- Essential: Member of General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Master's level qualification (e.g., MSc in Pharmacy) with continued professional development or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Desirable: Non-Medical Prescribing qualification, or near completion of the course.
- Knowledge and skills:
- Essential: Extensive post registration experience in area of practice.
- Leadership/management/coaching qualification.
- Experience of leading and managing teams, developing policy and service development plans.
- You will be able to demonstrate highly specialist knowledge of National Policies relevant to HIV and Sexual Health.
- You will be able to demonstrate a clear vision of patient care and service delivery models and performance frameworks.
