Join the Primary Care Mental Health Team in Kirkby as a Mental Health Lead. You will help integrate primary and secondary care to ensure people access the right mental health service at the right time and place. You’ll collaborate closely with Kirkby GPs, Kirkby PCN, and Mersey Care to support service users with mental health difficulties. The role sits within a broader program of organisational transformation to improve care quality and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Manage a defined area of responsibility to deliver high‑quality care to service users
- Supervise and monitor a range of multidisciplinary staff
- Maintain close links with internal and external professionals to ensure service delivery quality
- Collaborate with Kirkby GPs, Kirkby PCN and Mersey Care to improve access to services
Key requirements
- Relevant professional qualification - RMN / Occupational Therapist
- Significant post‑registration experience in relevant service areas
- Experience delivering teaching programmes to staff groups
- Understanding of Adult safeguarding issues
- Competent in IT packages such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Evidence of audits undertaken and outcomes
- Desirable: experience of supervision or leadership role
- Desirable: competent in using databases and spreadsheets
- Diplomacy and negotiation
- Ability to work in a highly demanding environment
