Overview
In this role you join a growing Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Kettering General Hospital, contributing to a broad service across obstetrics and gynaecology. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support ongoing site development and service expansion. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology care across on-site and peripheral clinics
- Contribute to theatre activity via two main theatres plus a dedicated emergency theatre
- Engage in antenatal screening, fetal medicine collaboration, and genetic counselling services
- Support education through a Post Graduate Education centre and ongoing training
- Participate in clinical audits, governance activities and quality improvement
- Work with specialist nursing teams and cross-disciplinary staff to deliver ambulatory gynaecology and high-risk care
- Potentially work across sites to meet service needs
- Contribute to service development linked to Rockingham Wing and other expansion projects
Key requirements
- Full GMC Registration
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist registration
- Relevant CCT or equivalent (equivalence confirmed by PMETB/GMC by AAC date)
- Entry onto GMC Specialist Register or eligible within 6 months of AAC
- Desirable: ATSM in Special Interest Subject; Colposcopy and/or Hysteroscopy and/or USS
- Clinical training and experience in general O&G equivalent to UK CCT; ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent
- Interest in Clinical Audit, governance, ambulatory gynaecology; Ultrasound skills
- Desirable: ATSM in Specialist Interest Subject (e.g., Maternal medicine, High Risk Pregnancy)
