b Overview /b p As a GP Consultant at St James Surgery, you lead clinical excellence within a warm, multidisciplinary team in Dover. You will provide on-site leadership, support GP/ACP workforce development, and partner with local health and social care providers to deliver safe, patient-centred care. This role offers visible leadership, meaningful impact on service delivery, and opportunities to influence practice development. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Flexible working options /li li 90% indemnity reimbursement /li li New to practice support for newly qualified GPs /li li Fellowship opportunities /li li 9 weeks leave including study leave /li li Salary sacrifice schemes and company car scheme /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care /li li Be a visible, on-site clinical leader offering advice and support to all staff groups /li li Lead on GP and ACP-related incidents, complaints, and significant event analysis /li li Oversee recruitment, induction, appraisals, and CPD for GPs and ACPs/ANPs /li li Ensure robust clinical governance, audits, and policy development /li li Coordinate safeguarding processes and high standards of documentation /li li Support clinic operations, including scheduling, recruiting locums, and supervising non-medical prescribers /li li Engage in central governance, policy implementation, and liaison with PCNs and external partners /li li Coordinate clinical administrative work and participate in projects such as video-linked consultations /li li Prescribe according to guidelines and maintain GMC standards /li li Participate in data collection, audits, and QOF/Enhanced Service targets /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Qualified General Practitioner (CCT) /li li On performers list and not suspended /li li Current BLS and Safeguarding certification /li li Current Hep B Immunity certificate /li li Understanding of NHS and primary care in urgent/community settings /li li Ability to manage emergencies and make appropriate referrals /li li UK professional registration in good standing /li li Discretionary: DFSRFH, coil insertion competence, GPWSI, minor surgery skills /li /ul ul li Strong leadership and team management /li li Excellent communication and listening skills /li li Empathy and rapport-building /li li EMIS or equivalent clinical systems /li li Clinical governance and audit /li li Documentation and record-keeping /li /ul
