Job summaryThe enhanced care team offer additional support across all the wards and departments for patients who may require additional support due to, unfamiliar surroundings, medication, mental health issues or challenging behavioural needs.Enhanced care is an integral part of a therapeutic plan and ensures the safe and sensitive monitoring of a patients physical and psychological wellbeing, whilst building therapeutic relationships. Enhanced care could be supporting 'cohorted' or patients who require 1-1 support.This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.Main duties of the jobThey post holder be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the enhanced care team. The enhanced care team leader will be responsible for working within the set budget, clinical governance, and staff development and training.The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction, and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team working with the enhanced care team. The post holder will be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information.They will work collaboratively with ward teams and the Liaison Psychiatry Service to ensure patients receive effective, high quality clinical support to enhance mental health care, in accordance with the principles of least restriction.The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that there are systems and processes for the planning, provision and review of enhanced care.
