Join ESNEFT as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to lead high-quality, multidisciplinary maternal care. Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-led, safe and high-quality patient care
- Develop care pathways and clinical guidelines with the multi-professional team
- Collaborate with wards, out-patients, and other departments to optimize services
- Offer educational, clinical leadership and support to junior medical and nursing staff
- Ensure accessible information for clinicians to measure performance against benchmarks
- Oversee quality review processes to maintain high standards
- Demonstrate professional leadership aligned with Trust values and address poor behaviour
- Ensure training complies with College requirements for junior doctors
- Engage in appraisal of medical staff per Trust policy
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead to develop the consultant role
Key requirements
- Full GMC registration
- MRCOG or equivalent
- UK CCT requirements or Portfolio Pathway equivalent
- Entry onto Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or within 6 months of CCT
- ATSM in Fetal Medicine
- ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent
- Desirable: Higher degree, PROMPT training and faculty, subspecialist training in Fetal Maternal Medicine, ATSM in Antenatal Care/High Risk Pregnancy
