Join a compassionate, patient-centred gastroenterology team at CHFT as a Consultant. You will work across Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital, with a predominance on one site, delivering inpatient and outpatient care and contributing to an expanding outpatient unit. Responsibilities
- Care for inpatients on the wards and contribute to ward referral reviews
- Manage outpatients and the newly developed outpatient unit
- Participate in cross-site endoscopy services; 10 PA workload
- Contribute to on-call rota for Gastroenterology and GI Bleed (1:10)
- Engage in CPD, audit, clinical governance, and service management via SPAs
- Potential for job-sharing across sites
Key requirements
- MRCP or equivalent
- Gastroenterology Specialist Registration (or within 6 months of registration)
- GMC registration and Licence to Practise
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Desirable: higher degree
- Good communication and empathy with patients
- Ability to lead and work across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to perform under high-pressure clinical situations
- Gastroenterology clinical expertise
- Endoscopy with GERD, ERCP experience desirable
- Audit and research understanding
