You will lead and shape a high-quality dietetic service for young people with eating disorders, providing clinical and professional oversight within a multidisciplinary team.

You will be the main nutritional care contact across the hospital, guiding colleagues, patients and families while driving service development and quality improvement.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership for the dietetic service to ensure safe, evidence-based care for young people with eating disorders
- Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Act as primary nutritional care contact across the hospital, guiding staff, patients and families
- Collaborate with catering teams to meet specialist dietary requirements and support service users at mealtimes
- Promote best practice in eating disorder care and act as a visible role model for staff
- Drive service development and quality improvement using audits, research and outcome measures
- Maintain quality dashboards, contribute to CQUIN requirements, present findings and implement evidence-based improvements
- Lead, support and develop the dietetic team; provide supervision and professional development
- Participate in recruitment and ensure effective service cover
- Contribute to clinical governance, service development initiatives and patient council meetings; deliver education and training
- Share best practice with Elysium partner sites to strengthen networks and hospital reputation
- Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years qualified experience
- Degree / postgraduate diploma in Dietetics
- HCPC registration
- Membership of the BDA and of the BDA Mental Health Specialist Group
- Management and leadership course certification or equivalent
- Experience in mental health with sound clinical knowledge
- Desirable: experience/understanding of eating disorders in children and young people; inpatient/acute settings
- Knowledge of dietetic practice, clinical governance and quality improvement
- Knowledge of nutritional rehabilitation, refeeding syndrome, enteral feeding and health monitoring in eating disorders
- Knowledge of NICE guidance and evidence-based interventions for eating disorders
- Knowledge of safeguarding, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act for inpatient CYPMHS settings
