Looking for something different? We are a large innovative general practice that thrives on team working in a supportive learning environment. Due to retirements and practice developments, we now have a vacancy for a salaried GP working up to 8 sessions at Hereford Medical Group (HMG).

We offer a competitive salary and as an innovative practice have pharmacists, safeguarding officers, primary care practitioners, biomedical scientists, an acute care team and administration support, to support good clinical care. We welcome informal visits to see our unique way of working!

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of duties including face to face and telephone consultations, e-consultations, and working as part of our acute care team providing on-the-day care for our registered patients. You will work from our four sites (our main site being a purpose-built medical practice).

Part of your duties will be working with our dedicated Acute Care Team, that supports patients requiring care on the day. This is a team with dedicated leadership and permanent staff - working together in a supportive manner. You will also carry out routine surgeries - allowing for continuity of care for patients and your own ability to book and follow up patients. We are working to 15-minute appointments.

We are a people-centred organisation, caring for a population of approximately 49,000 patients and employing approximately 180 permanent staff in addition to trainees. We are innovative and inclusive, providing a dynamic and friendly atmosphere to work in.
