Overview
In this role, you lead the Hereford WEST team, driving high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mental health needs. You will work within a supportive leadership group to share learning and develop the service, while ensuring governance, performance, and safe practice. You’ll oversee line management, supervision, and MDT care planning across schools, community settings, and homes, with a focus on integrated pathways. This role offers a collaborative culture, training opportunities, and a chance to shape services in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic records
- Coordinate staff resources and support team planning
- Lead mentorship and supervision of WEST staff
- Review performance, quality, and financial data regularly
- Chair and participate in key meetings
- Set, monitor, and evaluate standards, escalating concerns as needed
- Champion evidence-based practice and implement new developments
- Provide professional advice and support to school staff
- Lead on effective communication of clinical developments
- Provide line management and caseload supervision
- Lead the development of integrated MDT care plans and coordinated pathways
- Support safe and effective triage of referrals
Key requirements
- Registered Practitioner with current registration
- Evidence of relevant post-graduate CPD
- Significant experience in community settings
- Experience of leadership
- Experience in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience implementing change in practice
- Experience active in audit and governance activities
- Knowledge of professional roles within an MHTiS
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check
