You’ll collaborate with practices, commissioners, and system partners to deliver patient-centered, accessible care across Herefordshire and promote workforce development. Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for clinical services, quality, patient safety and professional standards
  • Act as senior clinical adviser to the Board, contributing to strategy, risk management and workforce planning
  • Ensure safe, effective, high-quality delivery of clinical services
  • Strengthen clinical governance, quality assurance, audit, risk management and organisational learning
  • Drive input into service redesign, pathways, new models of care and digital transformation
  • Lead professional development, appraisal, revalidation, succession planning for medical staff and advanced practitioners
  • Build strong relationships with practices, commissioners and system partners to support integrated services across Herefordshire
  • Foster a culture of learning, improvement, innovation and collaboration

Key requirements

  • Medically qualified and GMC registered
  • Substantial experience across primary care and community health services
  • Proven experience leading diverse multidisciplinary teams
  • Track record of delivering results through others
  • Budget management and income optimisation experience
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries within an integrated health and care system
  • Experience building external partnerships to achieve strategic objectives
  • Desirable: Experience as a GP
