We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Services Advisor to join our Patient Services team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a full-time, permanent term basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
- To welcome visitors and patients to OSH and to assist them in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional, in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- Maintain a visible presence and be pro-active in communicating with patients, doctors, consultants, and other members of the clinic team.
- To undertake a variety of administrative duties including those associated with billing and payments, to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs and will be required to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota.
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Good standard of general education with GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics and proficient in MS Office applications.
- Experience of working in a public reception environment managing face to face communication with the patients/public.
