Job summaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Service to provide senior operational and strategic leadership across NELFTs integrated Children and Young Peoples acute and crisis mental health pathway, comprising Brookside Adolescent Inpatient Unit, the Young Peoples Home Treatment Team (YPHTT), and the CAMHS Psychiatric Liaison and Assessment Service. Ensure services meet required care-quality standards, regulatory requirements, Trust policies and commissioned service specifications, with robust arrangements for safeguarding, incident reporting, risk management, audit and learning from incidents and complaints. - Performance, demand and capacity: Establish and maintain an integrated performance framework across the three services, bringing together activity, demand, capacity, quality, workforce, finance and patient-experience information. Analyse performance and quality information, identify emerging pressures or variation and ensure timely corrective action and improvement plans are implemented. Hold operational leads to account for delivery against agreed KPIs, quality standards, workforce measures, budgets and improvement trajectories. NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
