b Overview /b p In this role you lead the nursing function across the renal dialysis network, shaping safe, person-centred care and continuous improvement. You will provide visible, compassionate leadership to nursing teams, work with NHS partners and clinical leaders to translate priorities into practice, and drive governance, patient safety and quality improvements across clinics. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Salary Β£80,000–£85,000 per year /li li Company Pension Scheme /li li 35 days paid leave per annum /li li Day shifts, Monday to Saturday /li li Life Assurance to 3x salary /li li Retail discount scheme membership /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide senior professional nursing leadership across all renal dialysis services /li li Be a visible, accessible senior nurse promoting compassionate care, accountability and improvement /li li Advise senior leaders and nursing teams on complex clinical-practice matters /li li Promote practice aligned with NMC Code and evidence-based standards /li li Lead on scope of practice, delegation, supervision and accountability /li li Ensure nursing voice informs clinical and operational decisions /li li Champion openness, inclusion, psychological safety and learning /li li Ensure safe delivery of haemodialysis and reflect current guidance and contractual requirements /li li Lead practice in vascular access, infection control, medicines management, deterioration recognition and escalation /li li Coordinate clinical pathways and escalation arrangements with colleagues /li li Maintain effective clinical governance and provide nursing assurance to committees /li li Review quality indicators and workforce data to identify opportunities for improvement /li li Conduct clinical visits, quality reviews and assurance visits across clinics /li li Support dashboards for incidents, infection, medicines, complaints, safeguarding, training, and audit /li li Provide leadership for patient-safety risk identification and reduction /li li Support implementation of NHS Patient Safety Incident Response Framework where applicable /li li Lead learning responses (After Action Reviews, SWARM reviews, investigations) and translate learning into practice /li li Promote human factors, systems thinking and psychological safety /li li Lead systems for recognizing and responding to deteriorating patients in satellite settings /li li Support implementation and evaluation of NEWS2 or other track-and-trigger systems /li li Provide strategic leadership for nursing education, competence and development /li li Maintain a organisation-wide competency framework and ensure induction and training /li li Develop career pathways, succession plans and leadership /li li Promote compliance with NMC Code and support practice concerns handling /li li Support revalidation and ongoing professional development /li li Ensure patient voice informs practice and service development /li li Review experience and complaint themes for demonstrable improvements /li li Promote shared decision-making, dignity, equality and culturally responsive care /li li Provide leadership for safeguarding, infection prevention and medicines safety /li li Lead quality improvement programs with Model for Improvement and PDSA cycles /li li Ensure regulatory and external assurance compliance /li li Lead and contribute to evidence-based policies, procedures and SOPs /li li Foster compassionate, inclusive leadership and a culture where staff raise concerns /li li Coach senior nurses and Clinic Managers and contribute to nursing strategy /li li Lead and line-manage senior nursing, practice-development and education roles /li li Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and support talent management /li li Participate in recruitment and senior appointments /li li Deputise for the Director of Nursing and Quality as needed /li li Maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Dialysis/Renal experience /li li Professional nursing leadership /li li Renal dialysis clinical practice /li li Quality and clinical governance experience /li li Nursing education and clinical competence /li li Current UK professional registration /li li Compliance with NMC standards /li li Ability to work across a geographically dispersed network /li /ul ul li leadership presence /li li communication /li li collaboration /li li NMC Code compliance /li li NHS Patient Safety Incident Response Framework /li li NEWS2 or track-and-trigger systems /li /ul
