Overview
In this role you will deliver highly specialist SLT services to children and young people with stammering across Tees Valley. Responsibilities
- Deliver highly specialist SLT assessment, diagnosis and intervention for complex stammering cases
- Provide specialist advice and training to SLTs, other professionals and agencies
- Develop and implement care protocols and programmes in collaboration with parents, carers, education staff and MDT
- Manage complex caseloads and coordinate onward referrals as needed
- Involve clients and families in care planning and prioritisation
- Support group-based approaches and work across diverse settings (schools, clinics, homes, virtual)
Key requirements
- HCPC registered
- Significant post-qualification experience with children and young people in SLT
- Current UK professional registration
- Licence to practise as an SLT as approved by the RCSLT
- Masters degree or equivalent postgraduate knowledge
