Job summary1 x 30 hours, 1 x 37.5 hoursThere continues to be exciting opportunities to work in a busy, expanding First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Service at Harrogate District Hospital.
As an FCP you will be embedded in Primary care practices, with close working relationships with a large, secondary care MDT team, including; Orthopaedics, Radiology and Rheumatology. A successful candidate will take on a mixed caseload, working at the very forefront of the patient MSK pathway. Opportunities to use advanced clinical reasoning to manage patient needs, refer on for further investigations, and specialist opinions.
There will also be CPD opportunities and support to undertake the FCP roadmap.
Main duties of the jobProvide expert clinical decision making including referring for investigations, acting as First-contact physiotherapist (FCP) and making diagnoses/decisions about the best course of action for patients' care (including in relation to undifferentiated conditions).Exercise professional judgement, making, justifying and taking responsibility for decisions in unpredictable situationsUse investigative skills to progress and request investigations to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment regimeDevise and deliver programmes of supported patient self-managementAbout usAt Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust we provide 'outstanding' care to both our patients and our staff.
