Overview

In this role you will lead financial management for inter-provider agreements across the Trusts, ensuring transparent costing and sustainable contracts.

You will collaborate with Contracting, Operational and Clinical teams to develop costed service specifications and drive negotiations.

You’ll oversee cost calculation, invoicing, aged debt management and dispute resolution, and represent the Trust in provider contract reviews.

The role emphasizes system-wide P2P principles, financial governance and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead costing, financial evaluation and pricing of inter-provider services
  • Develop robust financial models to support service specifications, negotiations and developments
  • Provide expert financial advice on P2P agreements and funding
  • Ensure costing methodologies are accurate, transparent and evidence-based
  • Support system-wide P2P financial principles and best practice
  • Represent the Trust in contract review meetings and partner negotiations
  • Collaborate with Contracts to maintain service specifications and financial schedules
  • Coordinate input from clinical, operational and financial teams to keep agreements current and costed
  • Monitor financial performance of inter-provider agreements and report variances
  • Produce regular financial reports to support contract management and decision making
  • Key requirements
  • CCAB part-qualified accountant (Diploma level) or finalist or extensive relevant experience
  • Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet techniques
  • Track record of delivering to tight deadlines
  • Experience in financial analysis, costing, budgeting and performance reporting
