Overview

In this role you will deliver neurological care within a regional network, contributing to a multi-professional team and transformation programme. You will support epilepsy and general neurology outpatient services, inpatient care, and urgent pathways while helping develop the regional neuroscience centre. You’ll engage in research, teaching, and new developments, and may work across Trusts to enhance care delivery. The opportunity offers impact through innovative pathways and cross-trust collaboration, aligning with a sustainable, equitable, and outstanding service vision.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver neurological care across multiple Trust locations
  • Supervise patients and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings
  • Contribute to outpatient and inpatient neurology services, including epilepsy
  • Support urgent neurology pathways and regional transformation initiatives
  • Contribute to research, teaching, and development within the CSU
  • Engage in alliance initiatives with neighbouring Trusts

Key requirements

  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Specialist registration for Neurology (or within 6 months of registration)
  • GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Desirable: relevant higher degree
  • Good communication and empathy
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations
  • Clinical teaching of postgraduate doctors and staff
  • Audit principles and participation in audit projects
  • Familiarity with research methods and potential publications
