Overview

In this Specialty Doctor role, you will support inpatient and outpatient cardiology care and contribute to the development of services within Royal Surrey’s cardiology team. You’ll work alongside colleagues across medicine and acute specialties to strengthen urgent care pathways and be part of a seven-consultant team driving service improvements. This is an opportunity to shape cardiology care across hospital and community settings within a top-tier, award-winning Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to inpatient and outpatient cardiology care
  • Support activities in the cardiac catheter laboratories
  • Participate in outpatient clinics and registrar rota
  • Provide specialist expertise to the urgent and emergency care pathway
  • Engage in strategic development of cardiology services
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across Acute Medicine, Oncology, ICU and Elderly Care

Key requirements

  • Full GMC registration and license to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • 4 years postgraduate training/experience with at least 2 years in Cardiology or a related specialty
  • Understanding of clinical governance
  • Evidence of audit experience and service improvement
  • Disclosures: DBS check and UK sponsorship considerations for applicants
  • Current UK registration for medical practice
