Overview
In this role you will provide senior scientific support across brachytherapy, dosimetry and treatment planning, enabling safe and advanced radiotherapy for cancer patients. You will lead clinical development, contribute to research and national audits, and mentor junior colleagues. The role spans Guildford and Redhill sites, offering a dynamic, impact-driven career within a clinically led Trust. You will shape service development and contribute to regional cancer care delivery.

Responsibilities
- Provide routine physics support for brachytherapy treatments
- Participate in radiation dosimetry, QA and calibration of radiotherapy equipment
- Contribute to Radiotherapy Treatment Planning service
- Ensure compliance with IRR17/IRMER2017 regulations
- Engage in research and development activities within the department
- Contribute to teaching, training and staff development
Key requirements
- HCPC registered Clinical Scientist
- MSc in Medical Physics (or related subject)
- IPEM Part II/STP/ACS attainment or equivalent
- Knowledge and practical experience in radiotherapy physics (planning, dosimetry, brachytherapy)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
