Overview
In this role you provide expert clinical care for adults, leading and developing the Adult hearing services within the MDT. You will train and mentor students and staff, and help shape the service alongside the Clinical Lead for Adult Audiology. Based at Royal Surrey County Hospital with outreach work, you contribute to service development and research while managing a 7-day rota. This is a collaborative, professional environment focused on high-quality care and ongoing improvement.

Responsibilities
- Lead training and development of PTP and HTS students and support in-house staff training
- Act as Educational Lead and collaborate with existing student leads
- Provide routine and specialist clinical services to adults within a multidisciplinary team
- Support service development and participate in ongoing quality improvement and research
- Work across Adult hearing services, Vestibular, Tinnitus/Hyperacusis, Paediatric, and Private hearing aid services
- Deliver clinical work at Royal Surrey County Hospital and outreach clinics/home visits
- Participate in a 7-day per week rota with core hours 9am–5pm; discuss flexible patterns at interview
- Engage in education and professional development activities and encourage CPD and higher training modules
Key requirements
- MSc in Audiology or equivalent senior-level experience
- Member of AHCS or HCPC; certificate of Audiological Competence or HTS Modules
- Member of British Academy of Audiology or equivalent
- Strong management/leadership abilities; prioritisation and directing others
- Autonomous decision-making and experience with service redesign
- IT skills; proficient with Microsoft Office; Auditbase or Audiology PAS System
