Overview
In this role you will manage a GP caseload in a large, supportive primary care clinic. You will deliver high-quality medical care to registered and temporary patients while meeting contract obligations and GMC standards. You will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to maintain strong clinical governance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients with a wide range of health needs
- Conduct surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and prescription management
- Make autonomous clinical decisions and develop care plans
- Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Provide counseling and health education
- Admit/discharge patients, refer to other providers as appropriate
- Maintain clear, contemporaneous notes and contribute to audits
- Issue computer-generated prescriptions and follow prescribing formulary
- Abide by practice policies and participate in audit and improvement initiatives
- Engage in training, professional development, and multidisciplinary collaboration
