Overview
In this role you will provide senior clinical leadership for the inpatient Dean Ward at Wotton Lawn Hospital, part of Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. You will work closely with medical colleagues and the MDT to shape patient care and service delivery. The role combines direct patient contact with supervision and consultancy to others, and you will act as Responsible Clinician with RC duties and involvement in Mental Health Act processes. This is a patients-first, community-connected NHS post with a strong emphasis on collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical leadership to Dean Ward
- Direct patient contact and supervise other clinicians
- Act as Responsible Clinician for inpatients and exercise RC duties under the Code of Practice
- Prepare and present written and oral evidence at Mental Health Act Managers' Meetings and Review Tribunals
- Collaborate with the MDT and supporting system to deliver care
- Engage with medical colleagues and participate in governance and professional standards
Key requirements
- Higher specialist training/extensive psychiatry experience
- Understanding of NHS policies and procedures related to Medical practice/mentorship
