Overview
In this role you will provide high-quality primary care at HMP Littlehey within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will work on-site with core hours and have flexible opportunities including video consultations and cover for leave or partner sites. You will manage long-term conditions, mental health, and substance misuse, while contributing to clinical governance and teaching. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a secure setting and help drive patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face primary care
- Manage long-term conditions, mental health and substance misuse
- Collaborate and provide clinical leadership within multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement
- Support teaching and supervision
- Cover for annual leave, training and partner sites
- Utilize video consultations for late receptions at partner sites
Key requirements
- GMC General Practitioner Register and NHS Performers' List
- Clinical experience with vulnerable populations and substance misuse
- RCGP Part 1 Substance Misuse Certificate
- Experience in multi-professional teamwork and effective team functioning
- Familiarity with clinical governance and quality improvement tools
- Ability to adapt to evolving systems and build partnerships in general practice and advanced clinical practice
- Willingness to engage in CPD and maintain professional standards
- UK registration and legal eligibility for work in the UK
