b Overview /b p In this role you will support divisions with expert financial service delivery, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis within the NHS Trust. You will work closely with Finance Business Partners to drive financial planning, cost control, and business cases, contributing to capital projects and benefit realisation. The role combines hands-on financial management with line management responsibilities, supporting budget holders and delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service. This opportunity offers hybrid working and a chance to shape cost efficiency across specialties while advancing your professional development. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li flexible working /li li home or remote working /li li development opportunities /li li wellbeing focus /li li Disability Confident employer /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide expert financial advice and training on budget management to Budget Holders /li li Prepare monthly budget statements and variance analyses against timetables /li li Deputise for the Finance Business Partner and present financial reports to divisions /li li Consolidate monthly performance reports and forecasts, analysing trends and variances /li li Maintain strong financial controls for expenditure and WTEs within the specialty /li li Develop costing models and pricing for capital projects and service developments /li li Support PbR and AfC policy implementation and related DOH initiatives /li li Assist with Service Line Reporting (SLR) and Patient Level Costing (PLiCs) implementations /li li Educate and inform specialties on income consequences of activity plans /li li Lead financial planning to support annual plans, capex bidding, and efficiency initiatives /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Part qualified CCAB or CIMA with up-to-date membership or actively studying towards a professional qualification /li li Degree level education or equivalent experience /li li Experience at a mid-level NHS finance role /li li Experience in an Acute Hospital Trust /li li Desirable: experience leading change and working in a team /li /ul ul li Strong communication and training ability /li li Collaborative and customer-focused approach /li li Proactive problem solving and analytical mindset /li li Budgeting and budget setting /li li Forecasting and variance analysis /li li Financial reporting and timetables /li /ul
