Overview
In this role, you will support the delivery of the NHS Essex Population Health Improvement Plan by ensuring local voices shape the design and improvement of health services.
You will build strong relationships with residents, community groups, and partners to gather insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
You’ll help demonstrate impact through a transparent “you said, we did” approach and work across neighbourhoods to reduce health inequalities.
This position offers a chance to influence service design in line with NHS priorities and digital-enabled transformation.

Responsibilities
- Support engagement across PHIP priority programmes and neighbourhood health initiatives
- Plan and deliver events, workshops, surveys, and focus groups and capture insights
- Analyse community feedback and identify themes and inequalities
- Prepare reports and maintain governance-ready records and minutes
- Demonstrate impact of engagement with evidence of influence on decisions and improvements
- Coordinate meetings and events; manage calendars and communications
- Develop clear, concise briefings and foster two-way communication between teams and residents
- Represent the ICB at community events and maintain relationships with residents and VCSE partners
- Support budget monitoring and procurement for engagement activities
- Maintain information asset management and support governance and reporting processes
