The predicted salary is between 37035 - 45265 £ per year.
In this role you will help shape the Mid South Essex ADHD service, leading psychological assessment and intervention for suspected ADHD in the primary- and secondary-care interface. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and partner with local PCNs and NHS Talking Therapies to expand neurodevelopmental support. The post offers leadership and service development opportunities as the unit begins its neurodevelopmental integration. You will also provide supervision and training to clinical colleagues and external partners. This position is aimed at driving impactful, scalable care pathways for ADHD within a broader neurodevelopmental strategy.

Responsibilities
- Support development and expansion of the multidisciplinary ADHD service across Mid South Essex
- Provide clinical leadership for neurodevelopmental service integration and future Neurodevelopmental Service development
- Deliver psychological assessment and intervention for suspected ADHD in the absence of secondary mental health service involvement
- Offer supervision, consultation, and training to assistants, psychologists, and external partners
- Collaborate with primary care networks, NHS Talking Therapies, community teams and social care to strengthen support structures
- Engage in ongoing training and consultation to PCNs and GP/secondary care colleagues
- Contribute to service development and leadership opportunities within the ADHD/Neurodevelopmental pathway
Key requirements
- Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent for pre-1996 training) as accredited by the BPS
- HCPC registered and eligible for professional registration (BPS)
- Formal training in clinical supervision (8a)
- Experience conducting complex, specialist assessments and integrated interventions with sustained concentration
- Experience providing consultation to professional and non-professional groups
- Significant NHS mental health experience and track record within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience leading or contributing to multidisciplinary care planning and treatment within diverse client groups
