You will join NELFT’s SET CAMHS to deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental health care for children and young people. In a multi-disciplinary team, you assess needs, plan care, and provide early interventions in clinics and the community. The role emphasizes outcome measurement, NICE-aligned treatments, and collaboration with schools and social services. Responsibilities
- Assess and develop care plans for children and young people with complex emotional or mental health needs
- Deliver early interventions in clinic and community settings
- Promote emotional well-being of patients and families through clinical work
- Routinely measure clinical outcomes and apply evidence-based interventions (Thrive/NICE-aligned)
- Collaborate with schools, social and voluntary services and other teams to coordinate care
Key requirements
- Background in child mental health or working with children, young people and families
- Desirable training in CBT, DBT, Systemic, Family Work, EMDR or similar modalities
- Clinical CAMHS experience or equivalent
- Ability to manage presentations including high anxiety, self-harm, and low mood
