While candidates with a general neurology background are preferred, specialists in other neurological sub-disciplines are also encouraged to apply. It is responsible for delivering services through the Grange University Hospital delivering critical acute care, and its three enhanced local general hospitals in Newport, Abergavenny and Caerphilly, supported by five community hospitals, health centres and extensive mental health and learning disabilities facilities.The principal place of work for this post is currently Royal Gwent Hospital but may also involve sessions delivered in other rehabilitation hospitals. The post holder will generally be expected to undertake their programmed activities at the principal place of work or other locations agreed in the Job Plan. Exceptions will include travelling between work sites and attending official meetings away from the workplace. A planned and cost-effective approach is expected and is included in the DCC sessional allocation.
