You will lead the End of Life Care Education and Improvement Team to drive high-quality EoLC across the Trust. You work with diverse staff groups to improve patient and family outcomes and align with the Trust's strategy and national ambitions. You provide expert clinical and educational leadership, partnering with the Specialist Palliative Care team and education colleagues. You shape policies, deliver education and improvement initiatives, and oversee data-driven monitoring and patient safety in EoLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to drive high quality end of life care across the Trust
- Design and oversee delivery and reporting of strategic objectives for EoLC education and improvement
- Offer expert clinical and professional leadership and advice on EoLC
- Provide clinical leadership to the End of Life Steering Committee with reporting on deliverables
- Collaborate with patients and stakeholders to support best practice
- Develop policies and practices to guide EoLC
- Oversee delivery of EoLC education and training
- Drive rigorous improvement practices to deliver high quality EoLC
- Lead audit, monitoring and a data-driven approach
- Provide clinical leadership for patient safety incident response in EoLC
Key requirements
- Current clinical registration - NMC or HCPC
- Post-registration clinical qualification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Palliative/EoLC) at level 7
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education)
- Management certificate or equivalent experience
- Extensive clinical EoLC practice
- Experience of teaching and assessing others
- Experience of direct line management
- Experience of leading improvement and implementing change
- Experience in writing policy or guidelines
