The successful candidate will primarily be clinic based and will be expected to do outpatient clinics covering multi-specialty services including urgent care. The appointee will undertake duties at Bexhill Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital, both of which are well equipped to provide a modern high-quality ophthalmic service.
This post is for a Specialty Doctor to the Department of Ophthalmology in East Sussex Healthcare Trust. The post-holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the specialty, chiefly supporting the out-patient ophthalmic service. Candidates will be encouraged to develop surgical skills in theatre in the future.

Person Specification:
- Experience: Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
- Registration: GMC registration with a licence to practise.
