Overview
In this role you will provide direct psychological care within the Mental Health & Learning Disability services at HMP Frankland, blending clinical work with supervision and MDT collaboration. You will lead on embedding psychological formulations and psychosocial interventions in routine practice, while pursuing broad CPD to expand evidence-based approaches. The position offers experience with diverse populations, including trauma, learning disabilities, autism, and older adults, in a secure setting. A strong leadership and service development focus will shape innovative care.
Responsibilities
- undertake direct clinical work
- provide clinical supervision to colleagues including a higher assistant psychologist
- offer consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team
- contribute to development of an innovative psychology service
- support training in governed psychological therapy
- act as a leadership role within the Trust
- participate in multiagency and complex care coordination
Key requirements
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology or equivalent
- experience in mental health/learning disability settings
