Overview

In this role you will lead the Children's Care Group within an NHS foundation trust, aligning clinical services with the trust’s mission. You will guide the senior leadership team, drive large-scale change, and ensure high-quality, data-informed delivery of care across multiple sites. A focus on community-powered services and strong partnership work underpins the impact you will have on safety, performance, and financial sustainability. Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day accountability for the Care Group and lead the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead clinical service delivery and performance improvements across Children’s Services across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to inform Trust decisions and strategy.
  • Drive large-scale change initiatives and service redesign with a focus on outcomes, safety, quality, and financial sustainability.
  • Foster strong partnerships with community voices and lived experience to shape community-powered services.

Key requirements

  • Understanding of current healthcare policy and its implications for the Trust
  • Senior management experience (NHS, Local Authority, or similar)
  • Minimum 4 years of staff management and budget involvement
  • Proven track record in leading complex, multi-service operations and service redesign at scale
  • Experience in financial planning, HR management, and clinical redesign
  • Effective leadership with the ability to influence, engage diverse teams, and work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong communication skills for complex issues and high-level stakeholder engagement
