Overview

In this role you will provide visible, compassionate strategic and operational leadership within the Care Group. You will align clinical, nursing, medical and Allied Health input to deliver safe, effective and sustainable services. You will translate strategy into practical delivery, driving quality, patient safety, performance, workforce and financial stewardship. You will build cross-disciplinary relationships and lead a culture of continuous improvement to improve patient and community outcomes. A key hook is the opportunity to shape care across multiple services within a large NHS Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Care Group
  • Translate strategic priorities into delivery with focus on quality, safety and performance
  • Oversee workforce and financial management to ensure sustainability
  • Foster multidisciplinary collaboration across nursing, medicine, psychology and AHPs
  • Build strong relationships across professional and organisational boundaries
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to improve patient care
  • Influence service design and delivery to meet organisational pledges and strategy
  • Support a culture of inclusivity, accountability and high performance

Key requirements

  • Senior/strategic leadership experience in a large, complex public sector organisation
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and operating within governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to influence and coordinate across boundaries
  • Strong understanding of NHS governance, performance management, risk and assurance
  • Experience handling sensitive issues requiring judgement and discretion
