This post will be based in North Somerset Urgent Care and Treatment Team. We are seeking a highly motivated, inspirational leader, Band 7 CAMHS Team Manager who is ready for a new challenge. The right candidate will put young people at the heart of the service, will possess good problem solving skills and have the ability to achieve results through collaboration with staff and young people. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop an intensive outreach and hospital assessment team. We would want the manager to be a key role within this development. The post is part of a comprehensive and specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health service within AWP with close links to North Somerset CAMHS teams, as well as other BNSSG CAMHS teams. Main duties of the job
- Working in partnership with the Clinical Service managers, Team Managers and Clinical Lead to ensure excellent clinical standards are maintained within the team, and ensure the best use of available resources by delivering positive outcomes for individual service users and their families.
- The post-holder will manage, direct and lead a recovery orientated, multi-disciplinary Integrated Intensive Outreach and Home Treatment team in a community Child and Adolescent mental health setting.

Job responsibilities
- Service Management: Under the direction of the Service Manager to be responsible for leading and managing a modern, efficient mental health community service for a defined population in accordance with commissioned services.
- People Management: To ensure appropriate compliance with Trust policies in relation to people management activities.
- Financial Management: To manage the budget, authorising and controlling spending to ensure the best use of resources within agreed policy and financial regulations.
- Performance management: To manage the performance of the team as measured by key performance indicators defined nationally and locally.
- Risk and Clinical Governance: To supervise and authorise decision making on issues requiring statutory intervention.
- Service Research, Innovation, Training and Improvement: To proactively work towards continuous service improvement.
- Clinical: To maintain an awareness of complex cases and projects for which allocated staff are responsible.
- Self-management: To ensure that as a member of CAMHS you are fully aware of current developments, legislation and practice in the care of children and young people with mental health problems.
Person Specification
- Education/Experience
- Essential: Current UK Professional Body Registration (HCPC/ NMC or another appropriate professional body).
- Significant post-qualifying clinical experience including clinical CAMHS experience at Band 6 or higher.
- Supervisory experience with clear evidence of effective people management skills including clinical supervision, sickness management, performance, conduct issues.
- Desirable: Relevant Postgraduate qualification or Relevant Experience in Management.
- Experience gained in a team management role.
- Change Management and/or Service Improvement Experience.
