Job summaryThe Cardiff & Vale University Health Board Rheumatology Service are looking to employ a Consultant Rheumatologist for 10 sessions a week. There are additional specialist clinics within the rheumatology service which include an ankylosing spondylitis service, a combined clinic with dermatology, a paediatric service and biologics nurse led service. Close links are enjoyed with other specialities including renal and respiratory medicine providing complex dual service care. The service provides direct clinic care to patients on the rheumatology day unit in addition to the outpatient setting. We are looking for a dedicated individual to help deliver the Rheumatology service to the population of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Main duties of the jobThe Rheumatology service covers Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Outpatient clinical activity is across two sites. Outpatient clinics will be held in University of Llandough Hospital and Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, Cardiff. Duties will also include on-call cover, supervision of therapeutic substance infusions in the nurse led day unit and supervision of a registrar team and nurse led biologics clinic. The role is varied and exciting and you will be interested in continued service improvement.
