We are looking for a proactive and organised Technical Services Configuration Management Lead to support the management, deployment and maintenance of IT equipment across multiple healthcare locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate ICT asset records, imaging desktops and laptops, managing stock across various sites, processing asset information within Service Desk Plus, and coordinating equipment deliveries and collections. You will also liaise with suppliers regarding warranty repairs, support incident and service request management, and ensure asset disposal procedures are followed in line with organisational policies.
Working closely with the wider ICT team, you will help maintain safe, organised storage areas, monitor asset performance, identify opportunities to improve processes, and provide cover for the Technical Services Configuration Management Lead when required. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail, good customer service skills, and an interest in IT asset management within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Main duties of the job:
- Maintain records on all ICT assets, in line with the ICT procedures
- Delivery and pick up of items across the SWFT/GEH and GP locations
- Provide additional support to the wider ICT team as and when required
- Stock control of multiple locations
- Imaging of IT equipment (desktops, laptops etc.)
- Liaise with suppliers for warranty repairs
- Process asset information on to Service Desk Plus (SDP)
- Ensure the asset disposal process is followed and that all procedures are adhered to
- Action incident & service request tickets adhering to SLA Targets within Service Desk Plus System
- Monitor asset performance and recommend corrective measures
- Research new procedures and processes which will improve the productivity to the wider ICT Team with asset management
- Provide back up and holiday cover for the Technical Services Configuration Management Lead
- Ensure that all storage centres are organised effectively, methodically, safely and logically
- Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Essential: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths; Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- Desirable: ITIL qualification; A Levels (or equivalent) in English, Maths
Experience:
- Essential: Experience in asset and stock management; Experience of electronic stock keeping at an advanced level; Experience of ICT asset lifecycles; Experience in a customer facing and focused environment
- Desirable: Experience of ICT data destruction processes; Familiarity with desktop and laptop imaging
