- Conduct surgery and telephone consultations and manage patient queries
- Visit patients at home and review repeat prescriptions
- Handle paperwork, referrals, and correspondence promptly
- Make professional autonomous decisions on presenting problems
- Assess health care needs and develop care plans for undifferentiated issues
- Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Provide counselling and health education
- Admit or discharge patients and coordinate with other care providers
