Job summaryWe are seeking to appoint a full time, substantive Consultant with an interest in Upper Limb surgery to work within the directorate of Trauma and Orthopaedics.We welcome applications from the full spectrum of experience - those about to complete specialist training to those who have established careers.Subspeciality interest in upper limb surgery, primarily shoulder and elbow but a broader spectrum including shoulder would be considered. Trauma experience is essential.Main duties of the jobWe expect this person to help deliver and network the Orthopaedic service within Lancashire. This includes:Undertaking elective and fracture outpatient clinicsElective and trauma operating sessionsWard round duties and associated administrationOn call duties are 1:8 week of on call shared with a colleague alternating days. All other weeks are based on elective activity and an occasional trauma list. The successful applicant will complement the team of established consultants and wider MDT within the directorate.The post is subject to the Trust's terms and conditions of service.
