b Overview /b p In this role you join a dedicated orthopaedics team to perform primary lower limb arthroplasties and trauma care. You will contribute to day-case procedures and align with GIRFT-driven efficiencies, supporting elective and fracture clinics. Based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, you’ll work with colleagues across a 10+ consultant group and participate in on-call duties. The position offers CPD time and flexible planning within a supportive Trust focused on high-quality patient care. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Balance wellbeing programme /li li staff networks (GEM, LGBTQ+ Network, Women’s Network) /li li secretarial support and scheduling assistance /li li CPD time allocation /li li on-site facilities and cross-site opportunities /li li Flexible job plan /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Perform primary lower limb arthroplasties (hip, knee, unicondylar) following fellowship training /li li Manage common trauma presentations, with orthopaedic trauma focus /li li Participate in day-case procedures and elective fracture clinics /li li Engage in on-call rotas (weekday and weekend) and provide trauma cover /li li Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and support service scheduling /li li Contribute to CPD activities and flexible theatre planning /li li Potential involvement in paediatric trauma and basic upper limb/ankle trauma cases /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li GMC full registration /li li FRCS (Tr Orth) or equivalent /li li Fellowship training in lower limb arthroplasty /li li Experience with orthopaedic trauma and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams /li li Teaching and training experience is desirable /li /ul ul li interpersonal communication /li li team collaboration /li li ability to develop effective working relationships /li li lower limb arthroplasty techniques (hip/knee/unicondylar) /li li orthopaedic trauma management /li li fracture clinic participation /li /ul
