In this role you will provide and develop a high-quality diabetes and endocrinology service at a district general hospital, aligning with national and NICE frameworks. You will work within a dedicated team to improve patient care, support teaching and research, and contribute to service development. You'll supervise junior medical staff, lead clinical governance, and participate in medical education across undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical programmes. Tasks
- Full GMC registration and entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Diabetes & Endocrinology (via CCT, CESR or ECHR).
- Higher UK qualification - MRCP or equivalent recognised by the GMC.
- Demonstrated high level clinical experience and competence in managing diabetes and endocrinology patients.
- Special interest compatible with service needs.
- Participation in specialty-related audit.
- Commitment to developing a high-quality, cost-effective service to Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine.
- Desirable: Higher degree (Masters/Doctorate) or equivalent.
