Job summaryTo support developments within the Emergency Department at Eastbourne District General Hospital, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust requires a further Consultant in Emergency Medicine. The post holder will assist in the provision of a high quality emergency service as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care withinthe speciality.Applicants must have full GMC registration and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of their CCT .Main duties of the jobEast Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operates two level 1 emergency departments at Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital with Conquest designated as a Trauma Unit.Applications are invited for the post of consultant in emergency medicine. The appointee will join the existing consultants to complete a team of 8 in the emergency department.Duties will be based at Eastbourne but may on occasion work cross-site at Conquest with a 1 in 8 weekend and 1:8 on call.
