b Overview /b p In this role you will support the Radiology Physics Group to deliver high-quality Radiation Protection, QA, and technical support across multiple radiology and nuclear medicine sites. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable efficient multisite services and foster continuous improvement in protection and QA standards. The position offers a pathway to contribute to patient safety, device calibration, and QA processes within the NHS Trust and external clients. A compelling opportunity to develop specialist expertise in diagnostic radiology and radiation protection. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li excellent benefits /li li commitment to professional development /li li policies to support work-life balance /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide technical support for high-quality radiation protection services to users of x-ray units, radioactive materials, and non-ionising radiations /li li Record and report x-ray QA surveys using Section spreadsheets/databases /li li Perform complex measurements and calibrations as part of Diagnostic Radiology QA across Trusts and external establishments /li li Follow procedures, maintain records, and report non-conformances to senior staff /li li Participate in calibration of diagnostic QA viewing monitors and set protocols /li li Engage with cross-calibration service on x-ray test equipment /li li Assist with unsealed radiation protection services including environmental monitoring, monitor calibrations, and radon surveys /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li BSc in Physics or related scientific discipline or IPEM Diploma in Clinical Technology (Band 5) /li li Experience of Diagnostic Radiology QA and radiation protection /li li Previous work experience in a technical/healthcare setting /li li Desirable: Experience of unsealed sources radiation protection /li li Desirable: Driving licence and access to car /li /ul ul li Good communication skills (written and verbal) /li li Good interpersonal and organisational skills /li li Analytical and problem-solving abilities /li li Diagnostic Radiology QA and radiation protection expertise /li li Calibration and complex technical measurements /li li Use of spreadsheets and databases to manage QA data /li /ul
