b Overview /b p In this Clinical Lead role, you will provide visible clinical leadership on a 15-bed acute adult mental health ward, guiding recovery-focused care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You will deputise for the Ward Manager, coordinate clinical activity, and drive high standards of care and governance. You’ll support and develop junior staff, uphold safeguarding and Mental Health Act requirements, and contribute to service improvement in a busy inpatient setting. This position offers a hands-on leadership opportunity within a supportive, recovery-oriented culture in Taunton. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Flexible working options /li li NHS pension scheme /li li Generous annual leave /li li Strong focus on career development /li li Blue Light Card discounts /li li NHS-specific perks /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide visible clinical leadership and promote high standards of nursing care and recovery-focused practice /li li Coordinate safe, effective, person-centred care for all patients on the ward /li li Deputise for the Ward Manager and support day-to-day ward management /li li Collaborate with the MDT to plan, review and deliver care /li li Supervise and develop Band 5 nurses and junior staff /li li Role model professional practice per the NMC Code /li li Ensure safeguarding, risk management, Mental Health Act and capacity requirements are met /li li Promote effective communication with patients, carers, relatives and partner agencies /li li Contribute to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li RMN registration (current UK professional registration) /li li Experience supervising junior staff /li li Experience in multi-agency work with complex information delivery /li li Desirable: experience with electronic patient records/RiO, audits, service improvement, change management /li li Full driving licence or access to transport /li /ul ul li leadership /li li teamwork /li li communication /li li clinical governance /li li risk assessment /li li care planning /li /ul
